The Alliance Française d'Amsterdam is pleased to invite you to Bovary (play in Dutch, surtitled English).

Seats are limited and the price is reduced, especially for a group from the Alliance Française.

Gustave Flaubert’s novel about a rebellious doctor’s wife is over 150 years old, but the themes of Madame Bovary are as relevant as ever. Inequality between men and women still persists. As a society, we still struggle with centuries-old, stereotypical patterns. Emma Bovary is a victim of those, but she also rebels against them.

De Alliance Française d'Amsterdam nodigt u graag uit voor Bovary (toneelstuk in het Nederlands, ondertiteld in het Engels).

De plaatsen zijn beperkt en de prijs is verlaagd, speciaal voor een groep van de Alliance Française.

De roman van Gustave Flaubert over de rebelse doktersvrouw Emma Bovary is al meer dan 150 jaar oud. Maar het thema van Madame Bovary is nog altijd brandend actueel. De ongelijkheid tussen man en vrouw blijft bestaan. Als maatschappij worstelen we nog steeds met eeuwenoude stereotiepe patronen. Emma Bovary is daar het slachtoffer van, maar verzet zich er ook tegen.
